I would love to give you a bunch of captions, but this was an exhibit that had to be EXPERIENCED. Writing about it just doesn’t do it justice.
Yves St. Laurent “The Perfection of Style” was a perfectly balanced exhibition. Gorgeous outfits, lots of his personal notes, video clips, and great biographical information. I’ll post some of my favorite photos from the exhibit, but be warned: photos really can’t capture the genius that was YSL. Enjoy!
Woooow! This is so beautiful! Where is that?

It was at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, in Richmond, VA. I’ve looked to see if this is a touring exhibit, but it appears that there haven’t been any other locations announced. If I hear that the exhibit is coming to another city, I’ll be sure to share it!

Ooh, if you come, you MUST check out VMFA! Sadly, the last day for the YSL exhibit was August 27th, but the museum is wonderful and has a beautiful sculpture garden. The onsite restaurant, Amuse, is fantastic, as well.
Also, since you enjoy fashion, I don’t know if you’ve checked out the George Washington University’s Textile Museum in DC, but I’ve heard good things about it 🙂

Aww it’s so sweet of you to give me those recommendations! I appreciate it A LOT!
And yes, I’ve been to the textile museum, it’s amazing, it’s worth paying the entrance to, they have beautiful textiles. tapestries, and the gift shop is full of so many interesting books, I actually bought a couple when I went a couple of years ago, I really recommend it ❤
